Click the banana

Banana Clicker is an idle clicker. You click a banana, you earn bananas, and you spend them on things that earn more bananas. A shady guy in a trench coat called the Dealer narrates the whole thing and is not to be trusted.

Official release

Banana Clicker is out of Early Access. The game was rebuilt from scratch for 1.0, so if you played the old version, expect a lot to be new.

The characters

You start with Chad, a surfer. Granny Peel, Captain Rindlock, Dr. Pitsworth, Mayor Goldtooth and others join as you go, and each one runs their own shop. There are 47 upgrades in total. Some pay out when you click, others earn while you're idle.

Buy 10 of an upgrade and the next one unlocks. Each character also has five missions, and finishing some of them unlocks new events.

Events and extras

• Slices appear on the beach for you to grab. There are nine kinds, and each one gets stronger the more you collect. You can buy a hand that grabs them for you, a magnet, a sweeper and a rainbow trail.

• Banana Storms rain electrified bananas.

• Disco Parties start when your combo reaches SS. Every click pays triple while it lasts.

• Rindlock's Cannon fires a big crit into your banana every 20 seconds once you finish the Captain's missions.

• Orbital Lasers come with General Husk. Each laser hit counts as a click.

• Black Holes open inside the banana, eat everything on screen, and pay out ten times what they ate.

• Pearls, the banana jar, the feeder banana and clockwork fruit add more ways to earn.

Gear

There are 31 pieces of gear across 11 sets, and you can see everything you equip on the banana itself. Pull gear from the Dealer's Summons, craft it from fragments, or recycle spares for Cosmic.

Ascension

When your run slows down, ascend. You reset for Cosmic, pick a Patron for your next run, and spend points in the Constellation, a skill tree with nine branches, keystones and Anomalies that change how the game plays.

Idle and offline

Your upgrades keep earning while the game is closed, and you get a summary of what you made when you come back. Saves sync with Steam Cloud. There are over 150 achievements to unlock, and a few are secret.
