Who is responsible
Pook’s Den (pooksden.com) is run by its maker. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Visitor statistics
We keep anonymous counts of which pages and features are used, so we know what to improve. They do not identify you, and they switch off if your browser asks not to be tracked. Detailed records are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals are kept. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the site. Under Dutch law these statistics need no consent, because they have little or no impact on your privacy.
Settings stored in your browser
Your browser keeps a few small settings for things you choose: your light or dark theme, the site’s look if you change it, and your Night Crawl vote. They are only used on this site.
Hosting and security
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which sees your IP address in order to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. Cloudflare may process this outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Our server also keeps a short log of requests to find faults and stop abuse, which is overwritten automatically. Both rest on our legitimate interest in a working, secure site.
Videos
Videos come from YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; after that, Google’s privacy policy applies.
